I remenber reading here where someone gave exact instructions on replaceing the belt on the P650 without the factory tools.]

I did a search and also looked through all the previous pages of posts but it has been about 3 weeks ago so it has been removed.

How do I get access to old posts, or could someone repost for me.

Thanks

ps. a member here posted exact step by step ins. on how to do it.
I have a manual, all it says is to use a pully puller bolt, doesn't even show a pic of the "bolt puller".

1. Take cvt vent boot off.
2. Take bolts off cvt cover. You have to flex the front fender a bit to get one of them, but no big deal.
3. Lift cvt cover off and put it on seat. Since the wires are still attached, be careful not to yank. Use a rope, coathanger or bungee to hold it out of your way.
4. Using a 27mm socket and a ratchet (1/2 bigger one is better), begin turning the driven pulley clockwise with right hand.
5. With left hand, guide belt (as belt is being puled along by right hand ratcheting the pulley) over the side of the driven pulley. The required slack will be given to you by the belt sucking down into the pulley a bit. It is really is pretty easy.
6. Lift belt off primary.

Installation is basically the reverse. I put the belt on the drive pulley, making sure it is in the right direction (arrow forward on top of belt). I begin guiding the belt into the driven pulley on the bottom while turing the driven pulley with a 27mm socket.

Piece of cake. Clean any dirt off cvt cover seal and sael surfaces.
