I'm changing the oil on a 97 Mohave and I gotta ??. which way does the oil bypass pin go through the filter?. One end is larger than the other and my manual says the larger end goes into the motor and the small end goes into the cover. I tried it dosen't fit am I missing something or is the book wrong??

Thanks all: Rob

this is what my clymer manual says

<< the larger end seats in the crankcase filter cavity.the small end fits in the oil filter cover bore >>

it goes on to say that if it don't fit you have it backwards. hope this helps

The Clymer manual says the opposite of what the Kawi manual says-go with the Kawi manual-it's right-I have both.
