Kawasaki Prairie 650 V-Twin or Honda Rincon 650

BadBama, I have a Prairie too and I love it, however, only one thing you said is true. The broken plastic versus a bent rack. You can powerslide IRS quads and the transmission is sealed, no plastic, aluminum. And I'd be willing to bet you could LEAVE it in the water for a month and not have any leaks. According to Honda's website the Rincon will be 600lbs, so it's actually 4lbs (Dry, of course) lighter than a Prairie.

I would like to thank everyone for their comments. I do like the Kawasaki Prairie 650 V-Twin and I do plan on buying one in October. I just needed a little reinsurance, that's all.
About the belts, I will do what northarkie650MUDD suggested. Right from the get go, I will purchase that black spring.
Thanks again for all your comments. Your really helped me make my decision.
NyRoc, when I get my machine, maybe we can get together and go riding. You are not to far away from me. I always wanted to go riding in New York.

the black spring is a secret society for p650 owners!!! haha, just joking.
it is the driven(back) clutch spring EPI sells to help keep belt slippage down, and in my case, eliminates it.
the rincon will probably be good for you pansy trail riders, but in the mud i fear it wont last long. the tranny may handle it, but if you get water in it your looking at 4+qts of oil to change, as with the rubi(5.2qts). that and it doesnt have a locker OR disc brakes up front makes me think its gonna flop.

Hey guys. Call me stupid, but if the new Rincon is going to have a three speed tranny just like a car, isn't it also gonna have a torque converter? If it does, can you say power loss? That new Rincon is going to be gutless compared to the 650. If I were you Ironbear, I'd wait till the new Rincon comes out and ride em both. That's the only true measure of which one you will prefer.
