Look under atv winches in e-bay, there are warn dealers that sell them on there. I've been looking and have found one (warn atv2000)that i like with a rocker switch instead of the dial looking switch. They claim to be having a sale on them and have there number listed on the e-bay site, gonna call them in the morning.....

You might want to check out e-bay. There is a web site that sells the Warn A-2000 new with the mount switch you were talking about. I just ordered one, I will let you know.

The cool Ramsey winch is at http://www.northerntools.com/
It was $399 and free shipping, they were out so I did not impulse buy.

I was going to put it on my 650, but I just took the Warn 200 off of my old Big Bear before donating it to farm work (I'm cheap). Plus, I have the fortune of my wife riding with me so everything I do, I usually end up buying two.

Great, now you've all got me confused. I just thought I would get a Warn 2000 and be done with it, cheap and works. But, I have to buy the roller fairlead, which the Ramsey and Warn 2500's come with. I looked at the specs, and while I have always liked Warn from my Jeep days years ago, I know that Ramsey has a good reputation too. The Ramsey does appear to use less juice, and it appears that the Ramsey 2500 with the roller fairlead weighs 21 pounds, while the Warn 2000 is 23 lbs. without the roller, and the Warn 2500 is 25 lbs. with the roller. 4 lbs. seems to be significant when setting it out in front of the wheels, is it? The weight difference would also seem to suggest that the Warn is built a little stouter, but on a winch that probably won't be used much, except for the plowing, I got to believe that the Ramsey would hold up. So, now, what do I do? I think I'm leaning toward the Ramsey for it's lighter weight.

Cheiftam, you are makin the decision too difficult. I think you will like either one. Flip a coin. That Ramsey lifetime sounds like a nice warranty. Just make sure you like the switch you get. A lot of people think A200O switch sux. Make sure you get a kit with a nice DPTP relay that can use a small switch, or even the remote control. It makes winching a breeze.

Always use gloves, too.
