How many of you 650 owners experience engine breaking no matter what speed you are traveling? I had heard that it was only used for slower speeds (under 12 mph)

you should feel it all the time , the electric motor just keeps the pulley tight on the belt when going down hills with the throttle off , it was not there the pulley would let loose of the belt and it would start to free wheel like the old 300 and 400's would , I had a 400 and it was not as sure feeling going down real bad hills because you had only your brakes to keep you slow.
