If anyone remembers the post about what would happen if a cop pulled you over, It looks like I was right. lol. Who woulda thought. Tell your parents to become good friends with the cops. Then you may get a warning (or a hello) next time they catch you riding on the streets. We have great cops around here. I drag raced one of them when I still had my zilla. I even let him ride it. LoL. BTW, I smoked the squad car. I live about 3 miles from a small town of about 1,200 people. Most of the cops around here grew up on farms and even had quads (or trikes) at one time or another and are very understanding.(As you can imagine, we get lots of cool fireworks for The Fourth of July.) My whole point is that it pays to know the cops and have them as friends.

it also pays to follow the law and stay off the frickin roads.if the laws in your area don't support the little cruise on the side of the road then stay off from it.
and if you don't follow the rules you have no reason to bitch about getting busted and losing your scooter.

Hey if you want to ride on the rode legally maybe when you get your quad back you could sell it and get a moped. Seriously you broke the law and got caught, so you crying about it. The reason they get mad is because you could get killed or somebody else could because quads are not meant for roadway use. My dad happens to be a cop and he is not a pr!ck or pig or whatever you want to say. So until you grow up and say i made a mistake and i am geting punished for it i have no sympathy for you.

I live in PA (Wattsburg), and any road that has a snowmobile sign is legal for quads to........And there sure are a lot of them, I'm glad I don't live were you do. I can't stay off the roads!!! Try opening up the quad to 60 or so in the trails........SMASH!!! That hurt!!! Anyway if you're being careful on the road untill you hit a trail and some scruff comes along and gives you ****....then I don't blame you for being upset. I was at work one day and a quad and a bike where crossing route 20 Busy road and no one thought twice about it. Thought I would give my Opinion. Thanks

Where I live there is a legal riding place 2 miles away. But you cant legally park there. If you load the bikes up in the truck, take them there, unload them and go riding you will come back to a truck with a parking ticket on it!

So its cheaper to take your chances with riding to the spot.Btw it's illegle to even cross a street here on a quad/dirtbike.

So we can ride but we cant do it right by taking them in a truck,we cant ride to the place.....what are we supposed to do?

Iv'e been dealing with the PIGS long enough around here (Im 34 )they seen to think that riding is a crime. The city closed our old riding area and they bought Barney and Gomer 2 bikes to ride and to catch us with. These 2 fools get to ride in the closed area and they do,they have torn up more land in the last 2 years than us responsible riders have in the 20 years I rode there.

I took pics of them doin donuts, wheelies and riding up a hillside.....(of course I was illeagle to be there)sent them to the local paper and the paper is too scared to print them!

The PIGS think they are special! They can do illegle things and get away with it.Basically "do as I say,not as I do" mentality.

There may be good cops (pigs) but they are few and far between!

where i live, it is ellegal to ride at all. i have to drive at least 2 hours to ride at all. if i get cought riding my quad down my block, to check out the mods, i will be fined. do i blame the police for that, no. i blame my own stupidity for doing so. the (pigs) as you all them, will be the ones you call if your family or life is being threatened. sorry you have to pay for a quad to get back, but if you break laws, you just might have to pay. i just dont understand blaming them for what you did? its kind of like being blamed for getting stabbed becouse when you got stabbed, you didn't move fast enough!i hope younger riders just dont read this, couse that kind of respect souldn't be shone to our youth.

Some of you guys don't understand where I come from.If some kid is riding down a busy street on a quad, yes he deserves to get cought, but if he's just riding down his block to get to a trail I see no problem with that.I agree that we need cops in our society.Where I live (and grew up) we have pigs.

Our cops are "bullys"! pigs wheatever you want to call them.

My town was on tv several years ago, they said our cops were the crookedest(sp) police force in the USA.

First let me tell about my self.I dont drink, smoke do drugs (never even smoked a joint).I do like musclecars,4x4's and dirtbikes/quads.I drive slower than my 70 yr old mother.

I have been pulled over for no reason, handcuffed to a chair while my truck was ripped apart(seats out, dash ripped out and door panels ripped out)while they searched for drugs......didn't find anything since I dont do that stuff. They did not offer to repair the damage or even put the dr.seat back in.

Had a brand new Ramsy winch on the front of my truck.Got pulled over again for no reason, truck was impounded for no reason. They take inventory of what is on the truck when they take it,no mention of my winch.Got truck back 3 days later($475)(couldnt get truck over the weekend, they never charged me with anything)truck is missing my new winch, funny thing that a cops Jeep has a new Ramsy winch on it now.

The local police are always making head lines. Some of them were cought having "relations" with a sixteen year old girl in their cop cars. They didn't get jail for that!? If it was you or I we would be in jail.

A police seargent was drunk, rear ended a family driving his cop car, killed two little girls...he's still a cop, still got his licence....again you or I we would have the book thrown at us.

If you guys have good cops thats great! If I had grown up with good cops maybe my thoughts would be different. My cops are pigs. They do very little for the community except scare people or make things happen for their own good.

theres only one way to battle police like that, video!!! get whatever you can in the headlines, and get video of whatever you can. then call a national news company( 20 20 or hardlines) and watch what happens. we have had police like that where i live. after killing 6 kids, one cop still had a job. well, video is why he sits behind bars right now. i guess i just see kids, without police like that, reading this and saying, if its o.k. for him, why not me. i so highly respect public servers, whatever they do for us, and hope that most are seen as helpers, and not the enemy. so, when my 16 year old son reads posts like this one, i have to sit and explain why a grown man would feel this way about the police. i understand there is bad in all trades, but hopefully our youth of today can help change that. happy trails

Respect goes both ways. You get back what you give. Although I do have to admit sometimes things get out of hand. For example I have a friend that is a few years younger then me and he doesn't have a licence to drive to work. He works on a farm. Around here our town is about population 2,000 at most. There's an old railroad bed that leads to the dirt roads about 2 blocks from his house. The railroad bed runs through our town but the tracks were removed years ago. If he rides his quad 2 blocks to the railroad bed the neighbors call the cops on him. He has a stock blaster and tries to be as quiet as possible in town. He's already gotten 2 tickets and now the blaster is up for sale since he's tired of dealing with the cops. Now that's a bunch of BS to me.
