I just got atoped by the cops!!!I was just down the road from my house!! liek only 4-5 houses!! And they stoped me!!! They gave me a ticket adn took my bike!!! man! i dident even try to run or any thing!! i was nice!And they still burent me!!! When i get it back!!! 457$ later!! Next timew i will RUN for sure!! I thought this time if i stoped that they would give me abreak!! but no way!!

 

Ya,I never stop if I'm on a street.But I live where theres lots of places to run & hide.I went up to the pizza place on my Mojave once,got chased by 2 motorcycle cops on klr650's(we call them Barney and Gomer,ones stupid the other is too fat to ride).They chased me about 2 miles untill I got to the sand wash where Gomer crashed.Barney didn't even try the sand.

I had to call my neighbor girl and tell her to hang low since her Mojave looks just like mine,I didn't want her gettin cought and them thinkin it was her that outran them and made them wreck.

If I'm at a place that is legal I'll stop and let them check my spark arrester and my green sticker.

 

Hear all they check is to see if u are registered!!!! and iwas!! but he said that i as on the road!! and rules are rules!!! the uther cop that drove me home said that he would have let me go!!! btu he dident stop me so........

 

That sucks for sure. Here in my state, no law about riding on the road one way or the other. Most cops will just frown at you if you are minding your business and obeying all of the local laws. Others will stop you and tell you to get off of the road, but they know better than to hassle you just for riding an atv on the road since the law won't back them up.

 

I sure wias it was that way hear!! God dam PIGS I hav elost all my respect for the Cops!

 

Same thing happened to me when I was 15, cop let me keep my trike though, made me ride on the road all the way home and made me stand in front of his car in my driveway for 45 mins until my dad got home, took him that long to write all the tickets ($450 or so). My dad sure was pissed (at the cop LOL)

Had many run-ins with the same cop all the way until I was about 20 or so, probably about 12 tickets over that time span, what a pri*k this guy was until he got fired. I would just try and make nice with the boner so he doesnt keep busting on you down the road when you start to drive or whatnot. Dont F with them, you wont win.. sucks but thats the way it is.

 

Up here in New York they won't even chase us anymore.. I guess its because one kid got killed casue the cops were chaseing him and they hit the quad and it went over a big drop off. Then in the same mounth the same thing happend again and the kid is now brain dead or somthing!

 

Man whay do cops have to be suck pri*c*ks!! I mean if u are jsut scooting down the road to get to a trail!! then why do u thay have to bug u?????Well iam glad to let u guys knwo i go tmy bike back!! Come to find out they called my Unclus towing compy!! so i had no towing charg!!!

 

The cops are only doing there job.But,with all the serious crimes that happen(rape,murder,drunk drivers ect)I think they should be more linient to the lesser crimes like riding your quad down the street to get to a trail or jaywalking.I wonder how many people needed the cops help......and he was busy messing with a kid on a quad on a street.

yah that sucks some of the cops down here are really cool and let us ride on the roads as long as we dot raise hell(his excast words) it does help if your dad owns a gas station out where you ride but then others are such f*kin priks one of them stoped us in the middle of the road and told us how nice he was by letting us go and then threatened us with tickets when we asked what we wee doing wrong i guess he saw us on his way to dunkin donutz or sumthin we shoulda run ut he had his lights on when he saw us and it was rainin and we were on our way back to get goggles
