Hi Guy's
I was wondering how loud the exhaust mod that some of you have done on the P650 is. I was considering doing it to mine till a friend of mine got a DG pipe for his WOLVERINE...man it is loud!!! I really don't want that noise level but wouldn't mind a bit louder ( than stock ) considering the little boost you get. I would like it to be deeper and maybe with more of a tuned sound to it. Have any of you dynoed the bike with the exhaust mod?

With NYROC's exhaust mod. you get alot more than a "little boost" someone dynoed it to be a 10% gain (ALLTOY I think...check past postings). To me it is not louder..like a high pitch "noise"...it will give you a low pleasent rumble(like a Ducati or mini Harley). I personally love it, although I did do extra on my mod...instead of 6 1/2inch holes I did 3 1-1/2inch holes and removed the cone from the front of the muffler. I think the reason for no louder higher pitch sound is because of the volume of the stock muffler instead of a small DG.

I am sure it was Alltoy he is the dyno sciencetist that proved NYROC muffler mod. would yield a 10% increase in power!! (they should patent the idea..I guess)

So if you want a "tuned" sound go with NYROC!!!!

What is a "tuned" sound? Is that a resonating sound? I can't believe no one has made a dual exhaust for the 650 yet. I just think the harmonics of dual pipes would be svveet sounding.

I did 6 - 1/2 inch holes through the four baffles and cut out the silencer in the back end of the muffler making the exit hole 1 1/2 inches. It has a deep rumble to it now which is extremely cool. I don't mind the extra noise cause I'm never behind it!! The boys I ride with say it is quite a bit louder.

Dextreme I'm working on building a dual muffler idea myself, but I have found it is diffcult to find two mufflers that will work while fitting, lightweight, and keeping it affordable.

Hay, 1Bearman I know your swamped and all, but while your at it make us a dual exhaust!! (thanks)

I would just love it if DMC would make the new Alien for the p650...I was thinking they could be retro fitted, but they seem to be a right side exhaust for existing models, so I would imagine a goofy bracket would have to be made to fit the left side.

This one is for the Raptor which claims, "55% more torque and up to 57% more horsepower"
