Just ordered the Progressive springs from MAW Part # 87263 for MAW and Progressive # 312006 they where $150 shipped to my door. Unlike the $170 from Progressive plus shipping.

Did you set any pre load for just riding or they are enough without any for just rideing then crank them up for using the plow???

Thanks for any info.

i added the ps kit to my 650 and test rode it and at first ride i was wtf...
THEN...the following weekend i rode with 2 other praries
everyone agreed it was a substantial difference in ride quality and not rough or harsh
but in a subtle way...it took doing some side by side comparison to feel the difference
one of my riding friends has since added it to his 650 as well

I have the springs and would reccomend them to everyone. They have helped in the handling - especially at high speeds. The rearend doesn't "pogo stick" like it used to. The frontend stays up in the bumps so the rearend isn't trying to hop over it.

Good Luck with your springs!

Did you use the stock covers or any after market covers to protect the struts rod inside the spring or is it open?

Are you still able to get at the adjustment easily for adjustment for the winter with the plow or do you have to take it apart to do it?

I am jealous. Been looking at the Progressives for months. I am too poor right now to buy 'em. Wonder if Progressive needs a "field-test platform"??????? I'll test them, if they provide them!!!!!(guess I won't hold my breath)LOL

The stock shock covers cover(try saying that three times really fast)the adjusters when parked. I think to make adjustments easy you would have to jack up the front skid plate or in the field lift the front up some and kick a rock under it to expose the adjusters really well. They turn pretty easily and you get a small adjusting tool with the kit. I've never adjusted mine because with every inch of travel I think you get an additional 20lbs. total force for the front end. Thats 60lbs. over the stock springs at only 3 inches.

I'll have to figure out the hanging mass on the front of the front, and adjust it acordingly. I want to make a triagular out rig so it hanhs off the racks more and actually will lift the plow instead of pull the plow like it is set up now.

my tech installed them with the adjusters at the bottom ,below the shock covers
so they are adjustable at all times with the provided tool...
and i still run the stock shock covers...
what im saying is, mine are visible below the shock cover when the quad is at rest on level ground
