man, there both ausome quads!!! choosing was one of the hardest desitions i have had to make , lol. i chose the grizzly couse of my trail conditions, where i ride, and comfort. i am not 20 anymore, and wanted to be more comfortable when riding 100+ miles in a day. i have NO regrets about the quad i have chosen. i aventually wanted more power, so i bolted on some goodies, and am real happy! it takes to mud like nothing i have ever ridden before, and thats no bull! if i didn't have a bum knee, and was running more wide open speedy trails, it would have been the prarie. i have found out though that the grizzly runs real good on trails too! ride them both, think about where you;ll be riding, and buy 1 of them! trust me, you cant go wrong either way!

You are right on there! Of all of the top ones out there, the toughest choice is between the 650 and the 660. What won me over was the fact that I got a free winch, helmet, and $500 off the lowest price that I could con the yamaha dealer out of. If it had been even, I don't know what I would have done except alot more thinkin'!! All deals aside, ride em and then decide, but I have a feeling that it will be a tough decision!

Never mind anybody who says that the are equal because thay aren't.

The Prarie gets the holeshot every time with equal weight riders....while they both even out at top speed.

The Prarie's straight axle and stiffer suspension makes it a "sportier" machine. It slides around corners much easier (while the Grizzly has "body roll&quot. You can get a little jump off a hump or log with the prarie while the Grizzly just soaks them up. Its almost impossible to get some hop with a grizzily on the smaller bumps and trees.

The Grizzly is my no means a slouch in any way. It soaks up any bump or whatever with ease. Its like the cadilliac of the two. While the Prarie is kinda like the mustang. When I make those comparisons I am speaking of the ride of each machine. They BOTH have awesome motors!

The independant suspenion on the Grizzily can come in really handy in the really technical stuff.

The other day at the pits there was a guy on a Prarie 650 that went up every crazy hill that my buddy on his tricked out 400EX did! That's a statement. There was no Grizzly there at the time.

So for taking it easy and doing some real technical (slower) riding...I'd get a Grizzly anyday!
But....being the sportier rider I am...I'd take the Prarie personally. I wish I could have both!

Bottomline

The Bomber is a nice machine too....heck man....everybody makes a nice machine these days. It all depends on the style of riding you do and the features you want. If you got any one of those machines you'd probably be pretty happy. 4x4's have came a LONG LONG way man.

Maybe if you are looking at all 3 you might want to eliminate by comparing the dealers' reputations for service. If they are all pretty good dealers with pretty good service departments then go by your riding style and the features you want.

Good luck

One thing about the quest. The CVT tranny is 6 times better then the grissly. Cant speek for the prarie but bombardier knows there stuff when it comes to the tranny. It applys way more belt pressure which gives you longer lasting belt and no slip.

The quest is also built way stronger then both bikes. IMO it will outlast both bikes.

But they are all good bikes so i sugest you take one for a rip before you buy one.

TextHowdy,
My vote goes to the Kaw 650. Mine is over a year old and has been trouble free. As for the ride, I am 62 years young and can still ride it all day! I really enjoy spanking my friends 660 Grizz. The Grizzes have had a few problems judging from their forum gripes. If I were going to buy an new quad today, I would still go with the Kaw!!! Good luck with your choice!!!!

I live in Shelby. Are there any small time places you know of close by? I'd like to go to the Mounds again soon. We'll be in touch.
Thanks.
