I'm in the process of instaling a new cam chain, and I haven't got around to buy an owners manual. If I were to have the engine at TDC where should that one mark on the cam shafts be pointing?

the exhast cam mark will point to the front and be level with the top of the head.than you will have to count 43pins back on the chain.the dot on the intake cam will go between the 43rd and 44th pin. if done right the mark on the intake cam should line up with the top of the head. hope this helps.

Thanks A LOT, I just got done, havn't fired it up yet, but the timing marks ended up being, The exhaust mark was level with the top of the head pointing towards the front, and the intake was level with the head surface pointing towards the rear. I of corse started from TDC using a dial indicator. Does what I did sound correct? THANKS
