I have a 2002 prarie 300 just out of warranty of course. While warming up (parked), the engine stopped. There was no electric power when I tried to restart. The main 30 amp fuse near the battery had blown, blew replacement immediately.
I was able to pull start the engine but lights were dim when turned on and the vehicle would only run at slow speads then it started cutting out like the reverse before presing the override button.
I would like to fix this befor this weekend and waiting 7 days to get a service manual to get a wiring diagram will not woek.
Does any one have an idea where I should check first to fine a short ?

I had a prob with my 300 headlights, are your on? turn them off and see it that makes a diff. Mine was so bad I had to replace both headlights harness, taillight, tail light harness and all 3 bulbs. As far as I can fig the headlight switch was faulty and both the low beams were on thus the extra heat and the meltdown occurred. As far as the tail light the switch on the foot petal had been on and I didn't think anything of it till I noticed that housing was starting to melt. And when the headlights melted it did cause the motor to spit and sputter. Hope this helps....Rob
