Wisdom on Tire sealants
#1
I am preparing for a 8 day hunting trip in Colorado for elk and will be taking along my 650. I still have the stock dunlops on it (77 miles now. I have purchased a snorkle and a K&N air filter to help me with the altitude, but I'm wondering what to do about the tires?
Would it be wise to put slime or some product in the tires to address the possibility of punctures? Would a tire repair kit do the same thing? I just don't want to spend a lot of time walking out in the boonies because I ended up with a flat tire and no spare. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I highly highly recommend some tire slime, a good plug kit with plenty of plugs, and fix a flat. I just put an inch long slash in the sidewall of my dunlop front. Now they are gone and new tires are on. Watch out for rocks, avoid the pointy ones as much as possible. If your not going for a little while maybe you should consider upgrading your tires. I just spent $270 for 4 news tires shipped to my house and then mounted. Good luck.
