Anyone use a buffer on their plastic to remove light to medium scratches? My concern is that it will significantly dull the appearance afterwards.

Haven't heard anyone doing that successfully.

The best thing I have seen yet is to just wipe it down with baby oil.

Chrysler Mechs use this stuff at my dealer that takes small scratches out and leaves the best shine i ever saw. Im not sure what its called maybe (dress all). But it works.

SO there is stuff out there you just got to find it. Try calling a body shop.

After a year of pushing through the brush, dirt wind and rain, my plastic is pretty dull, I like to rinse it off then spray the whole machine with the "no touch tire foam" not only does it make the plastic shine and slippery enough to keep some new mud off but it treats the vinly components and gets in the hard to reach areas such as hoses engine moldings etc. P.s. wipe off large flat surfaces afterwards, fender etc. and dont spray the seat unless your machine can drive itself after you slip off
