Sport or Utility?
#21
I thought about this quite a bit today, and I think I'm leaning mostly towards the KFX400. I mostly do trail-riding and I'm more of a sport-oriented rider. I love the features of the P650 though. Like permafrost said, I wish I could just have both. Maybe I'll get a lucky spree of money somewhere and I can get both. What more could a man want but all the toys in the world?
Since I'm leaning towards the KFX400, does anyone know of any good aftermarket parts that are out for it yet? I looked in the catalog where I work and there's some new stuff out for the LTZ400, which I'm assuming is 100% interchangeable with the KFX400. Anyone got ideas?

mocate250 you work at parts unlimited you're asking the frickin world what's available, and the fact that you know me and i know just 99.9%of whats available for the ltz400/kfx400 and you don't ask me.
unless you're looking for attention from other members thats fine.but you have access to everything known to man just by knowing me and asking me.what gives here.are you to good to ask me what is available and what or won't work on the quad of choice?
i'm very dissappointed in you. i thought we were better then that.just remember that when it comes time to put all those new parts and accessories on your new machine.i don't have a clue how to do it.

In my mind the prairie is a very sport oriented machine. I am an ex racer so i know how to handle a machine. I can jump with it. throw roost with it. Massive powerslides. Pull wheelies. What else can you ask for? I am planning on racing it in the utility class MX in two weeks for ***** and grins. I took it to the track for practice and was doing a 20ft double on it and it wasnt bottoming out. After we got off the track i hit the mud. Thats why i got the prairie. I can do all kinds of riding with one quad. I have a few mods on it now and it is just as fast in a drag as my buddies Z400. I can run trails wide open. My buddy on his Z can barely keep up and some times cant. And when doing just fast trail riding(not mudding) i come home clean. He comes home looking like a drowned rat. I have taken the racks off. new tires and rims. Exhaust mod. Intake mod. And will soon have a Penland series exhaust, AC Bumper, Kawi Green plastic, Works struts with progressive springs, works rear shock, and the CDI from Diamond G when they get it ready. I have a fairly good idea that when i put on the CDI and Exhaust it will be as fast as my Raptor(wich is for sale). And the good thing is that if i need to use it for utility use i can throw the racks back on. (takes 10 min) and go to work. Check it out here. Ihave the rear rack off now but other wise it looks the same. for now
