some guy told me that the tecate was faster than the lt250rs and the honda 250rs???

 

Supposedly it was, but it didn't handle near as well as the Honda.

 

yes the tecate is faster then a 250r or lt 500.in fact it is the second fastest production quad ever built to this day.with a stock hp rating of 42 hp. and light wieght where the other 250's only came with 33hp stock.
and you can't say they didn't handle as well as a 250r.they are excellent handling machines and jump better then the 250r.it was just that the 250r shined in more places then just the race track and it was a better riding machine for trails and such. the tecate is a more race oriented machine that just never caught on for some reason.oh well.i have one and i love it.

 

So whats the fastest quad ever made? I thought it was the LT500

read it again. it did not say the tecate was the second fastest. it said it was tops in the 250 division.
this test came from a 1988 isuue of 3&4 wheel action (now 4wheel action)- i still have that issue. quadzilla was first at over 79, the banshee came in second at 77 and THEN the tecate. lt250 was next then 250r then mojave.

im not knocking the tecate. i like it and have seen many run very well. with the right rider the +3mph advantage the banshee has would be nullified.

 

Did Suzuki stop making Quadzilla?

 

Based on that link they never say the actually top speed of a banshee just said it won in a 60 foot drag.

and if that was published it is a shame alot of the article is misspelled.
