I have owned several Honda's and am considering the Prarie 650. It seems to win all of the shootouts except ATV magazine. They did not like the front end, said it dives in corners. Every other magazine raves about it. What is your opinion of it. Would also like to know how reliable it is.

Ron, overall the bike gets great reviews. But, everyone has a diff opinion. I would do a search here at this site under Kawasaki for "650" and sit back and get ready to do a lot of reading and you will form your own opinion on this GREAT Quad!

Im Not bias or anything!!!

I have really enjoyed my p650. I would purchase it over any of the big bores out there. (rincon, griz, sportsman 700, quest)

Dextreme,
What in specific do you like about it that causes you to say this?

I test drove several big 4x4s and did side by side comparisons, read the articles and read the forum posts. After buying it, my expectations of all the hype were easily met. I can see why P650 owners love em.

My banshee was a lot of money and is ripping fun, but dollar for dollar the p650 is a awesome value for what it is capable of.

I have had a 650 for one week now. Its broken in but with 75 miles Im already adjusting the belt deflection. I heard about this before I bought it so it was no big deal. I also heard the belt comes loose from the factory to sound quiter to a potential buyer. The belt is the only negative thing about the atv. All else is excellent and that "for me" justifies buying and dealing with the belt. To be honest about it the after I get the belt adjusted right it shouldnt be a problem for another 1000 miles according to the manual. Im running 589s on mine so I will recheck the belt after 500 miles.

I looked and rode many atvs. I finally got a good deal at $6200 + tax on what I wanted and bought one. Mine is an 02 model.
