lower rad hose torn
#1
Went on a run with friend to old homestead from 30's. Was following gps position through poplar forest, jumping logs ,techinal riding around stumps. kawi preforming great on old falldowns which are crossed every which way , boy life is good. Getting ever closer to old farm, when i got wedged in.
Trees on all sides, didn't want to get saw out and cut down tree in front. kind of dead ,no leaves, leaning away from me so top wont break off and fall on me. So i pushed it over and proceeded forward." This is the part about being wrong"
Spun out on wet logs and droped quad on top of stump, unknown to me was over a foot high. Yes there was no joy in Pleasent lake for my rad hose was cut , allmost into two pc's. A great ball of steam and the sweet smell of antifreeze.
The fun is over now had to saw every log out of way for 1/2 mile so friend with 300 honda could haul me out to truck. Rad hose looks to be about 1/2 " inside and made from double thick condoms, They sure are plyable when hot and it was hot.
I believe that this hose is mounted to side of frame with plastic wire ties. It was my own damn fault , should have cut tree out.
Have to meet friends for breakfast in town , will look at it when i get back , looks like a easy repair.

Ouch Roscoe69 at least you had someone with you and probably that is the most important thing whether it is a Honda, Pol, Arctic ***** or a Bombi they still look pretty good. When the off shoot is walking 30 miles in bear country not too mention when the rut is on. Some big buck might find you on the cute side LOL LOL>!!!!!! Have fun.

Yes was moose country lots of sign and full rut season. no didn't see any. No bear signs but i knew that they are there. Did see one of guys from that area that had been up to mountain park sept long weekend, lives now at st. albert. He was hunting, so we stoped to chat. opps getting off subject.
Nova kaw650
yes entered in front of filter protection plate, sliced line in two and i might say with remarkable accuracy.
Well drove to town and picked up galvinized 3/4" barbed connecter ( this is heavey but they didn't have plastic products that would stand chemicals and heat? should have bought copper water line coupler , barbs not so sharp) , two clamps and litre of antifreeze.
Had it back together in 1/2 hr. I wonder if a guy can get a inline heater for 3/4 " hose that is light, car types that i used to buy were pretty heavey.
Looked in fill hole before it got hot man does it pump water , you can see it flowing bach into rad.
And that is you allotment of usefull information for the day.
