They never made a 250X in 89..... It was 87-88 and 91-92....

 

I have owned both and would go with the 250X.. It handles better and is alot stronger. Plus it is lighter....

As far as power. THis would depend on the rider. If it is a wide open straight race, the Mojave may get the X on the top end. But in the woods and tracks, the X would win unless the rider of the X was terrible!

 

I've had both quads and like the Mojave better. The 250X was a nice four wheeler but it didn't have much mid range power and it was flat on top end. The Mojave comes to life in midrange and has good top end power as well. Works really well in the snow where you want to keep your wheel speed up.

The downer about the Mo is the lack of accessories. I'm not real big into buyig stuff but I liked the idea that a bunch or products were available when I had my 250X.
