Default *Cracked Mojave Swingarm, Need Help On New One*

i was looking at my mojave when I noticed that the swingarm was cracked in a few different places. I am going to need a new one but i cant decide what to do? how much is a new stock swingarm? what kind of aftermarket swingarms are out there for the mojave and how much are they? i want a longer swingarm(between 1-5in) but i want to be able to still use my stock rear shock. also i heard of getting a lakota swingarm because they are 1 inch longer what do you think about this? anyways post ASAP and let me know what is out there and what they cost.

I know the atv salvage yard in kentucky has some lakota swing arms. The difference between the lakota and mojave swing arms is behind the shock mont so your stock shock will work.
Lurch was selling some extended swing arms at one time, maybe he still has one. If I remember rite they were around $500. Frankly I would have my stock one extended for that price.

I hier alot of lakota/mojave swing arms cracking. I believe mine has done so well due to the PRM skid plate I have. The way they mont it has two pieces one on the bottom and one on the top , sandwiching the swing arm with bolts. I believe this is why mine has held together.

My stock swingarm cracked so many times, I quit counting. All of the cracks started around the tubes that support the shock mount. You will have a hard time finding an aftermarket swingarm, so I would suggest having your stock one reinforced. I had a local metal shop bend some 1/8' sheet metal to fit around my swingarm and I welded it on. Haven't had a problem since.

Keep an eye on Ebay too for a used swingarm.
