What would a race of around 200 yards be like between a P650 with red and black springs and a bone stock Rapter ? I'm sure the Rapter would win, i guess the question is by how much. How long of a race would the Prairie have the advantage (longer or shorter) ?

 

My modded 650 comes in around 2 bike lengths short in a 300yd race, up to 200yd it is almost even only because of traction on the Kawi. With NOS I leave everything behind even modded banshees. I have produced on a dyno with NOS a peak 72 hp this will launch the Kawi and brings me 3 bike lengths ahead of pretty much anything out there.

I have drag raced Raptors,a Banshee and a Z400. All them were stock as is mine (for now). The distance was approx 500 ft in a sand and gravel pit, with loose gravel on hardpack in the strip area. I lost to them all. The Raptor was the fastest as it hooked up better than the Banshee. The Raptor beat me by about 5 quad lengths,the Banshee by about 4 and the Z400 by about 3-4. I raced the Z400 and Raptor together once and I was in front for about 50ft(4x4 done this) when they pulled even and the Raptor continued to slowly walk away. The race ended with me and the Z400 about dead even (maybe I was ahead by a couple inches) He must have missed a gear...he never did say...but make no mistake the Z400 can beat me 10 out of 10 times if he gets a good launch.The Raptor is faster than the Z400 hands down. In reality to drag race the sport quads effectively with the KawiP650 you have to shorten up the distance to about 100yards and some mods won't hurt. The springs will help as does exhaust and jetting with bigger air intake. ALL CHEAP but according to those who have done it...It makes a MONSTER out of already formidable opponent. The C.D.I retards timing at 5000rpm's so it's sort of like a governor...BUT HELP IS ON THE WAY...Via Bearman on this Forum.THEN LOOK-OUT!!!
