Hey guys I was wondering how bright your lights are on your prairie's? It dont seem like thoes two lights would put out as much a the atv's with the rack lights plus a handle bar mounted light. Bottem line is do you get enough lighting to do alot of deep woods night riding?

The lighting is adequate, but not what I was hoping for or what I was used to. It's always an option to add aftermarket ATV lights to the grill....but I would have to go out and look at it to see where they could be mounted.

Somebody around here, possibly Kawlaris, made a hadlebar mounted headlight that attached under the handlebar cowl.

I've been thinking about doing this lately.

I have found that the lighting on the P650 is pretty good, until you get above 40mph, then the corners sure do come up on you quick. I would like to get an aftermarket lighting system for the fast runs up the mountain early in the morning.

Nyron, is correct. I added a handle bar mount light in front of the instrument pannel. I thought the Prairie factory lights were very bright. However I also ride a Scrambler with the lights mounted on the handle bar. It is much better with both lights now on the Prairie. In the dark you can see where you are turning before your quad actually turns. Could save you from the big plunge! I'll try and add the picture of my light link.

I found that if you buy the aftermarket lights you get some improvment the high wattage ones that just replace the bulbs you already have. Kinda expensive for the improvement but an easy fix. Plus you can get them in colors, which is kinda sweet i like the blue, i think they help some

kawlaris,

where did you find that light? Looks good!

also, where did you get hand guards that fit without messing up the diff. lock lever?

The light is an implement light. I picked it up at a local farm supply store. It has a trapezoid light pattern that works well in combination with the factory lights. I got the hand guards at my dealer but here is the same ones on Rockymountain. handguards I had to trim the plastic a little but it was easily done with a utility knife.
