gaff, you can have the first kick and my son wants to have the second kick because he wanted that quad too. The bad part is that is was my son's friend that sold it to 14mins before anything could be done about it. It is a sweet quad and it tight too.

 

If you all only new how much I've been surching the entire country for a good 2 stroke 250 for my 03 race quad, man.
I have seen thru the net and in person soooooooo many of them. The prices are some inflated and just about all need a grand to make it safely around a track one lap.
Well sense we all seek about the same thing it probably won't do any good, but if any of yall see anything of interest out there, give me a yell.

 

i was looking in the bulliten board the other day (weekly local publishing of anything imaginable for sale) and there was a tecate 4 for sale for i beleive 2500 if anyone is interested i can get you the number tomorow

Geez- I thought we were all buddies here. If it makes you feel better i gave the kid a extra 100 dollars. He originally only wanted a 1000 dollars. I wanted the deal to happen that day so i said i would throw a extra 100 in. Went by the chrome shop today and picked up the front bumper, nerfs, pegs and fmf pipe. A new shiney chrome job. Waiting on the silencer, block off,chain and reed cage to show up. I spent 7 hours stripping the wheels and sanding them. I ordered a few misc. parts. New total for machine is almost 1500 dollars. PICS will be coming soon.

14, I have seen this new case saver that actually prolongs the life of the chain and helps direct more power to the wheels. It was about $100 and I thought it was a excellent idea for a mod on quads such as the tecate. I will try to find it on the web again, maybe rite up your ally. As you know, busting one of those cases might be a night mare to replace. Not to mention the phrase "power to the wheels" always catches my eye.

 

Thanks Gaff. While i know it is not going to out run my rappy, i am still REAL excited about it. I took it to the dunes a few days after i bought it. One hit of the 2 stroke revs put a smile on the face. Everybody has a craptor, not a lot of tecates running around. This one is going to look and run killer in another 10 days. Can't wait to get the pics up. The kid should have spent a few hours cleaning it up. He could have gotten 2500 for it easy. He even had a new top end put in a few months back. I have been buying up a few spare parts as this is going to stick around for a while. I want to have a honest 40hp when i get done.
