Rolled my P-650 ....many times.

Not sure if it is totalled till midweek.
I managed to get in some greasy, leaf covered roots on a long steep hill in Wayne Nat'l. Forest yesterday. Went up in 2WD, hit the roots, by then 4WD was useless. Started sliding backwards, I decided that I did not want to ride back down this hill in reverse, so I bailed! It rolled 7-10 times. Bent all racks, rear frame, handlebars and everything on the bars. All the plastic, except center section, all trashed.I am bummed. WAS able to ride it out 4 miles, after bending the bars and the racks with a log!
I'll send NYROC some pix for his site, if I can find his adress.
Looks like I am grounded for a while!

Glad you are OK. I hope your rims, spindles, axle, steering knuckles are fine.
I put mudrunners on the back of my 650 because of a problem climbing muddy slopes with sur traks.
Now that I have mudrunners, I have to watch it on dry stuff because they don't bite well on dry. The difference is night and day between the two. I feel that my machine is safer now. The tire combo I had was very very bad. Your tire combo may be safe, and fun. Mine was fun, but not safe.

Sorry to hear about your crash. Tires seem to be the most talked about topic with the 650. I just took my 650 out this weekend to Loretta Lynns for the fall VISTA ride. I was its first time out (NEW). I had the dealer put on a set of Kenda Bear Claws- 26x12:00-12 rear 26x9:00-12 front on ITP C rims before I picked it up. There were a few slick hills with LOTS of ruts, roots, rocks. Even my wife rode it in 2w. We were both impressed. Now she wants one! ( see new topic).

gtchief--- That tire combo should be just fine. My little crash was purely rider error, and nothing else. I love the shur-trax.
NYROC--- I sent 5 pix of the wadded up P-650. Did you get'em?

You guys tires are probably fine with the tires. I mixed a mud tire with a dry tire, and it caused a flipover during a powerslide on a muddy surface. I like the surtrak, it was just stupid to mix it with a mud tire.

3TV, I had a similar kind of roll over. I thought I just broke a brake lever. Some time later I noticed my quad was steering hard to the right. It ended up being a bent steering shaft. 125.00 later and a lot on labor I had it fixed. I hope mine was just a freak accident and this does not become a problem area for this quad.

hope the 650 is running soon,as long as we are on the subject a few weeks ago before i tradded my mojave I was going up a steep loose trail at a gravel pit and at the top it divides in to one way is the same steepness and the other is steeper ,well i was trying this in second gear and at the part where the trail splits I gave it gas and realized that my tires are spinning and its either I bail or iam going down with the ship! the mojave started sliding backward so I jumped off and the wheeler spun around and some how compresion startd itself and ran in to a tree luclaly it only dented the bumper and cracked the fender but ill let the guy who owns it now take care of that
