Default kfx 700 v force...a beast?

ok....i've been checkin out the new sport atv's for quite a while now and i've been lookin to buy one. I hear the z400 and kfx400 were very nice machines, but does anyone think the same as me. the new kfx 700 is a wh0re. Altho its not clutch so u can spin the tires as easy, the thing is lookin nice! drive shaft so u can go mudding and not worry about a rock or sumthin get caught in a chain. My friend had that happen and it cost almost 100 bux to replace. 700 v twin engine....how bad is that for a sport atv. and for as big as it is.....the design is pretty nice.....not the sexiest lookin atv but its better than alot of them out there. does anyone think that this will be the best machine ever besides me??

I think its going to be a great quad no doubt, and i bet many will fear it when it hits the track.I currently own a 2002 Kawaski Lakota Sport 300 but,in the future i would most definetly be looking towards the KFX400 or the "MONSTER KFX700".Two thumbs up to Kawasaki. MY p650 ran side beside and beet several kfx400's and suki 400's. I was not able to beet the modded bikes though. the 700 is worth the wait, the 400's just too slow. this was in the sand the results may not be the same on dirt. I also had my other p650 there and it was doing the same. Its not just a fluke bike.

I have a P650 and a 400ex and the P650 is close for a few feet then it gets blown away by the 400ex. So if you are staying close to a Z400 the rider sucks.
Now with the mods to the 700 and the 100 lb's lost I think the Kaw will beat the raptor in a drag if not it will be close.

daimon1054, "The 650 stay's close for a few feet then get's BLOWN AWAY by the 400ex" Take it back back to dealer something is wrong with it or you have a REAL slow 650.......

Sorry to disapoint I rode my ex and my brother rode the 650 then we swapped. We ran on a black top rode so traction was not an issue and we are within 5 pounds of each other. We both race for many years and test rode Polaris quads so know the CVT tranny pretty well.
The P650 was in perfect shape, and running great. It is just to heavy. I will say the power delevery is awsome and I think if KAW got the chassie right the 700 shouldd be a very nice quad, the first to come along that I really am interested in.
The P650 is detuned bad from the factory, the first test riders said the quad was almost uncontrolable, so there is plenty potential there. Infact the CDI that made so much power is the unit that KAW will be using on the 700 so it should rock.

I think it was DirtWheels who took a P650 & added a good exhaust system, unhooked the front driveshaft, took off the racks and some of the plastic and were beating Raptors in the sand with it. Knowing what a Raptor will do to an EX, I just can't see an EX beating even a stock P650.

The 700 with a better-tuned CVT, new CDI, and 100 lbs. less weight than the P650 will smoke any stock quad out there by a large margin in my opinion. When CVT performance parts start coming out along with items like roller clutches, the 700 will be even faster.

My dealer was in Ottawa (Ottawa, Ontario - Canada's capitol for you guy's south of the border) last week for the Kawasaki dealers' meeting. Kawi had a KFX 700 there for them to drive. They had a tight motocross/woods trail set up to ride on, unfortunately it was quite muddy. Keep in mind that my dealer has very little sport/race quad experience, but he felt the machine was scary fast! Made the P650 feel like it was running on one cylinder! The best comment he had came from a Yamaha/Kawasaki dealer that sells alot of Raptors; that guy felt that the KFX 700 was considerably faster than the Raptor and more comfortable and easy to drive.
