p650 for a 400ex
It' time to change quads. Not because I'm unhappy with my 400ex, but am looking for something easier to ride. I'll give my 400 to my son and sell his 300. I don't need a 650 for work, just play. Trail riding and such. What do you 650 owners think.

p650 for a 400ex
I have a 400ex and a P650, for me it is not worth the trade for pure sport riding. Now I am looking very hard at the V700 that is comming out. I, like you want to cruise and not fight with a clutch all day. I still race and like the control on the track but slow riding in the woods w/ the kids gets to be a real pain at times.

p650 for a 400ex
My son races MX and is dam near as fast as I am (I am to scared to get hurt now it cost to much money) but he is 10 and my daughter is 12 and in the woods they are at just the wrong speed. You know 2nd to low 3rd to high so I am always riding the clutch.
I would ride an ATC90 to spend time w/ them it is great, but I figure if I am out there I want to have fun too. I have a 400ex rubicon P650 AC300 big bear and a forman. I use the 4X4's to work on the farm and the 400ex to ride plus I have a few dirt bikes and all the kids quads and toys. I like the power of the P650 but it is to wide in the middle to heavy in the front and don't like the floor boards. Over all the rubicon is a better work bike but the 650 is a better unit if you can only own 1 to do everything but IMO since I do not need to own 1 I would not have a big 4X4 as my only unit.
My dream quad would be a 450lb 4X4 sport quad. I like the YAM wolv but it needs more power and better suspension, since a quad like that does not exist I own a sport unit and a work unit.

HI GUY'S:
Steamboat...if the 400ex goes on the trails you plan on riding the P650 on, but want something easier to ride , I would forget the P650 and look at the new Kawi700 V-Force!! The P650 is awesome yes...I own one , but if you like the sport quad the 700 would be the way to go. It's got the same amazing maintenace free brakes and shaft drive of the P650. It's got the same auto tranny and it's a sport quad! That machine is amazing! That engine has got to be mind-blowing!!! The P650 engine is wicked...but that same engine, bumped up to 700cc's and tuned a little... has got to be ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL!!! IT's an arm ripper , and it's an auto...I love it. It's the quad I would buy if I didnt need 4x4 sometimes. But believe me you will love the P650...it's a wicked rig plain and simple!

you guys are right, I better wait and see the v700 before making a decision. I forgot to mention that I'm 6'7" tall so I don't fit many quads well. I put taller bars and lowered the foot pegs about 2" on my 400. That's why I want an automatic, cause it'll be easier to ride if I don't have to shift or brake with my feet. thanks for the help, I enjoy hearing what you all have to say.
