If you ever need to replace your stock needle or buy a new same size carb (like I did) and need to rejet it, you'll see that needle codes direct from Keihin are different from the OEM Kawi needles. Kawasaki, I learned, uses their own coding for the needles in their prodction carbs. This conversion table for KDX bikes works for all PWK carbs.
For example, for a stock "late" (as opposed to "early") 88 Tecate 4 PWK35, the needle is R1469J...which doesn't mean squat when you go to buy a new one from Keihin. My replacement PWK35 came with a DEJ needle. Thanks to this table, I learned the true equivalent from Keihin is DEK.
