My turn for new Tires for the P650...help?
I purchased the Holeshot ATRs last week and I gotta tell ya, they are unbelievable! My KAV650 is truly a sport machine now. I just find it hard to believe how much they improved the ride, comfort, cornering, and traction. Hey, I'm going riding!

Trane,
Please tell us more about the characteristics of these tires. What do you mean when you say improved ride and comfort? I am considering the atr's for the rear because I'd like more traction and a softer ride. I have mudrunners on all 4's now. I was possibly going to leave the mudrunners up front for when I use 4x4 to pull me through when I need it.

Jeff Fox is still here? Wow! Hey, I just wanted to add 2 cents to this. I had mudrunners on the front and sur traks on the back and I felt that it was a bad idea to mix a mud tread in front with a dry tread in the back. I rolled it due to the difference between the way it cornered on wet vs dry. I felt the cornering and powersliding suffered. A guy named trx450 mixes tires too, but he is only mixing 2 tires that are reasonably similar in traction characteristics and didn't have the problems I did.

Thanks Nyroc,
I was curious about posssible handling problems. Also, Did the all trak's do okay in the snow and mud. I am wondering how much mud/snow ability I will give up if I have the ATR's mounted. I don't do deep mud. The mudding I do is shallow at best.
Thanks.

Ok, Jeffoxer. In reference to more details about the ride character, before I brought the ATRs I had the dunflops. I need not tell you how bad they are. These ATRs are everything I want in a tire. when I turn the steering wheel the quad goes exactly where its pointed. its just so much more sporty in all aspects. Accelleration is better, due to better traction. Braking is better just an all around improvement.

Put my ATR's on two days ago, and I've got one word to say about them, "TRACTION", Wow! I kick myself for not getting them sooner. I almost freaked out when I took it for the first ride, the steering was so much better that I thought maybe it was a different bike. We went in the snow and mud yesterday, and before buying the tires I was worried about how they would preform in the snow. That was dumb of me. They were better then anyone I was with. (Dunlop's, 489's, and a stock raptor), They were all spinning out, NOT I!
I know it's kind of hard to buy a tire that is different. Well I'll tell you they are different, way different. I love them.
