Default Leaking Carb overflow.

I have a 2000 kawasaki bayou220 and is sitting in the garage untouched and out of no where gas starts coming out the carb overflow. It happend 3 times so far. I took apart the carb and cleaned it because I thought it might be dirt around the float. Any info would be appreciated. i dont want it to happen again. thanks

Default Leaking Carb overflow.

Your float height could be incorrect. There could be a small hole in the float causing it to fill with gas. It is possible that there is dirt around the seat, not allowing it to seal. Or, it could be, which was my problem, the needle valve. You may need to replace it. You very well may have corrected the prob. by the cleaning that you have already peformed, too!
