Default P650 throttle conversion

Having been reared up on dirt bikes I would like to put a twist thrittle on my P650. My thumb gets real sore on long rides because I don't get to ride real frequently.

I put a Motion Pro twist throttle on my kid's Recon but was not enthralled with the smoothness of it.

I see that PBR have one on their racing P650. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations???????

My thumb was sore on the first ride and that was it, I never thought about a twist throttle after that.

The same thought process goes through a lot of people's minds.

Ride it more, don't mess with the throttle, you will get used to it and be glad you didn't put a twister on it.

Thanks for the thought Master Nyroc, wish I could ride more to get better conditioned.

BTW made your spring compressor out of oak and a 1/4" rod, do have to admit I stood back aways (wearing a face shield) as I turned down the nut. Still foolish after forty.

I just bought my P650 and need to put a twist throttle on it because of severe ligament damage to my thumb. Motion Pro told me they have not made one yet. Can someone steer me to the person that has put one on there's so I can find out what and where to buy?

tilting the throttle upwards works great. yes when you do this your brake leaver tilts down.

WVBartman-- Look in "nyroc's ATV Web Page". You can click on his signature(above). He may have Penland's phone #. Look in the back of Dirt Wheels mag., too.
