Kawasaki Prairie 650 Skid Plates
Iron Bear,
I had to get a new A arm for my P650 due to a collision with an Oak tree. It also fully taco'd the Rim. I was able to get the A arm for $36.35 and the Rim for $52.00. Noelle at M.R. Cycle and Marine (828) 277-8600 was very helpful. I found that the Factory Skid plates were about as good as using doubled up aluminun foil! I went with a High Density Poly Ethelene Skid plate from a Canadian company and I am very happy with it. It was $119.00 and has held up extremely well. It actually slides over rocks at times which is helpful. I hope this helps.

The best skid plate I've seen for the P650 is the one High Lifter offers. It's a one piece deal that covers the entire front 1/2 of the bike. I got the kit with the front bash plate that gives some extra protection in the front not to mention doesn't look bad either. The skid plate fits perfect, is 3/16 solid alum., and seems to block a lot of debris from getting to the engine area that the factory plates don't. They are not the cheapest out there but are worth the money IMO. Check em out - Here is the link.
I still have the factory swing arm skid plate and have never had an issue with it.
