When my 650 was new I had set the throttle stop at about half and it would do 52 on the spedo.
Now it has had its first service and the dealer ajusted the carbs to correct a coughing at low speed problem-they Said it was to lean the throttle is set back to full and i will do 57 I think it should do better.

57mph does sound a little off the pace.

 

I can get mine a little over 60

 

Somthing isnt right there. Mine stock would do 64mph. Had it checked on the GPS and it was accurate.

 

i,ve hit 63 on a straightaway and that was floored. if i didnt run out of road i might have gotten a couple more mph out of her. also if i lose 20 pounds i could also get a couple more mph out of her.lol

 

63mph going by the speedo. 1/4 mile of flat gravel road.

 

Mine topped out at 64......wonder what it would top out at with that new CDI?

 

Boy do I think all of you got screwed. I've had mine going 69mph, and that is completely stock and on a flat road. To make it worse, I have the weight of a winch, a hitch, and a toolbox full of s**t. Don't think I'm a little guy either because I weigh 205. I've notice that mine has picked up about 4 mph since it was brand new for some reason or other.

 

Or when we figure out how to put it in second gear. Still LMAO. What the top speed will be.

 

I've had my '03 up to 67 mph on flat stretch of asphalt. This was topped out for my P650.
