How did the Big Gun mount up? Any "fit" problems or leaks? Those were the main problems I had with the Supertrapp IDS2 I had on my Kodiak. I have a buddy I ride with who has a Big Gun on his Kodiak and he hasnt had any problems with it so far.

Easy to install 45 min tops and no leaks.I had to take the pipe off from the back cylinder and install the new one it comes with and slip on the muffler.

What you are describing is a what is considered a slip on for the P650. Because it is a V-Twin it is called a slip on even though the rear pipe is made on to the muffler. A complete system also has a new front pipe. The Pro-Circuit comes with a front pipe, a rear pipe, and a muffler that bolts on where the stock muffler did and is attached to the 2 pipes with springs.

Did you look at your system to see if it comes with the front pipe or not? The only system I can find on Big Gun's website is a slip on. They are not showing the Mike Penland Signature Series yet. Believe me, you'll know if it's a Mike Penland Signature Series or not because they will be making a very big deal out of that and rightfully so.

I'm not trying to be a knowitall, just trying to get to the bottom of who's offering what.

befor I went with the nyroc mod., I was looking into the Big Gun system. The one one their web sit is slip on. For the Penlend you have to call and order over phone. they told me it was ready for market about 3 weeks ago and is a full system.

Haven't opened the box yet, but I know that it is a full system. Front pipe also. $399 + shipping, direct from Big Gun.

Does anyone know if exhaust gaskets need to be replaced with the new exhaust? Is there such a thing? I know my streetbike uses crushable gaskets that are only good once. If I need to get new gaskets would like to know now before I get it all torn apart!

Brian T, Im not sure but Big Gun "should" send one for the each of the pipes that connect to the cylinders. They might even include a new clamp that connects the pipe coming from the front cylinder to the muffler. For $400 + shipping they should include all that.

I talk in High Lifter mostly and a lot of people have the Big Gun. They were getting a bad reputation for falling apart on the 660 Grizzly because it viberated so much. I dont think this will be an issue with the P650. One thing that will be an issue with ALL Big Gun pipes is repacking. According to Big Gun themselves you will need to repack the canaster a lot to keep the heat from destroying the muffler.

Im not a computer wiz but I will try and copy and paste that Post from High LIfter to here. It contains the many complaints and problems people are having with the Big Gun and most Importantly it has a Big Gun rep responding to the guys. I will be back in a bit.

The Pro Circuit did not come with gaskets. They said to reuse the old ones which I did and have had no problems at all. They are just a hard metal gasket.
