Default Am I hosed?!?!

Santa brought me my Penland series Big Gun, K&N filter, Diamond G snorkle, and Dynojet jet kit. Unfortunately, he sent me the Stage 1 jet kit (my fault should have been more specific) instead of the stage 2.

Am I hosed? Do I need to exchange this kit for the Stage 2? It has main jet size up to 138, but I thought I read earlier that I needed 142?

Someone, anyone, everyone PLEASE HELP!!! I am off work til Monday and am dying to start installing these parts! THANKS!

i got the sport utility series w/ race core. I just put it on and it seems to run fine. maybe you should put the parts on and make your choice from there.

You are fine, there is only one DJ kit available (last I checked) the stage 1 kit.

DJ jets are different than the kawi jets. 138 is quite rich in DJ, lean for kehin.

Alltoys likes kawi jets better, so he recommends the sizes in the kehin number, not the DJ number. You may have read that from a post from Alltoys and others. Alltoys is a few notches above most of us in mods. You probably want to stay down here with the average joe.

I like the DJ needles are better, I'm not convinced I needed the DJ jets.

Default Am I hosed?!?!

Seems to me my DJ kit just came with a wide assortment of jets and instructions for either Stage 1 (stock exhaust, air box, and filter), and Stage 2 (aftermarket exhaust, modded airbox, and filter)???? Just so I have it right in my mind, is that the only difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2? Or there other things involved???

Thanks for any help.

Dyno-Jet makes a stage 2 kit. Call them if you need it. Big Gun or Penland will help you with the jetting. I've gone back to Keihin jets, I was having tuning problems with the DJ kit. I ordered the next 2 larger sized jets from Kawi and used them. $3 a piece.

This kit came w/11 jets? sizes 118-138, 2 needles, 2 clips, and 4 washers/spacers.

I haven't torn open the envelope yet because I'm afraid I'll need to return it. Of couse, the instructions are inside the plastic also!!

Here's the instructions for your DynoJet...it looks like they only include instructions for Stage 1, but then they give you a different component combo (apparently included in your kit) for a modded exhaust. I dunno???

DynoJet

At least this way you can look at the instructions (supposedly) without opening your package????

When you get there, click on the pdf icon after the price to see the instructions.
