Default HELP QUICK, Exhaust mod

ProEMTPFF, funny nobody answered.

You can do this to a griz. This is what I saw done before:

1. Remove end.

2. drill holes through baffles if any, I forgot what it looked like.

3. Remove outlet pipe from end plate and enlarge hole and weld a larger pipe back on. (most important part)

4. There is a screen sock in there. make sure you put it back.

However, the griz is already too loud stock. I wouldn't do it if I were you. My friend got a big bore kit, head work and a white brother's pipe for his griz 660 and now it is way too loud and still isn't that powerful. Replace that griz with a prairie. You won't miss the IRS. You will love the better handling and awesome power. Plus, it is quiter for hunting.

Default HELP QUICK, Exhaust mod

nyroc, thank you for the quick and informative responce. Back before I bought the Grizz I shopped around campairing the Prairie with the Grizz. My local shop sells all four major brands Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda and they even have Bombardier and Cannondale. Its one hell of a huge shop. Anyway, they had the Grizz and Prairie sitting side by side. I test rode both on thier test track they have around back. I had to make a choice and it was a hard one because BOTH bikes are great, but I made the best choice for me. I'll keep the Grizz for another year or until the Prairie gets a IRS. Thanks again.
