Picked up my new p650 today, aztec red, and a 4x8 galvanized trailer. I got the insurance going, and headed out to the trails. I love it!!!! What a great sound it has. I bet piped its ridiculous. Anyway thanks to all those who steered me in the right direction!!
Check it out. Rufus is guarding it in the driveway before my first ride!

Rottweiler.. Maybe you should blow the photo up to 100% =] Thats rufus. Thanks for the replies guys. I'm really excited. Please if you could check out my new p650 concerns thread, I'm somewhat worried about a few things, although they may be normal..?

congrats wheresthemud!! I rode yesterday for a few hours and a few today. Today was incredible, awesome trails down in the everglades. The bike performed flawlessly today. It was hard to start and keep running before, and hard to shift into gear. This was all solved by turning up(clockwise) the idle adjuster. Now it's great. Good luck with yours, and don't freak out about the smoke and bad smell when you first ride it, it some of the paint/chemicals on the engine burning off. It freaked me out at first! =]

that freaked me out to....i didnt think of the chemicals burning off, i just thought it was some water that got splashed on the pipe on the way home

Yeah, that is the same smell as on new snowmobiles as well..... I'm not concerned about that. Mine idles fine once it is warm but it idles better in gear than in neutral. Maybe cause the engine has a slight load on it?? I may tweak the idle adjuster if need be but will leave it for now.

thats awesome! can you please email me some pics of your setup you built? I'm not super handy and doubt I could rig one, but we'll see. Dunno how he'd jump all the way up there, the p650 is pretty tall. Thanks,
