Yeah, I'm reasonably certain that they can't screw up a package of washers, but nothing is guaranteed.

Nova,

I am working on a single carb intake for the kawi so I can hook up my super charger. This single manifold will me or anyone to install a single carb instead if 2 down draft carbs. Have you seen how many down draft carbs there are out there. Soon as you have the ability to interchange components then there is a whole line of wizy carbs to to choose from unfortuneatly they are all side delivery. The great thing is there are performance carbs up the wazoo. The one I chose is a combination high performance fuel pumper and an easy going rock crawler type carb, can be easy on fuel or a double pumper. This one has a carbon slide so the reaction to vacume is as close to direct intake as is it can be. Of course the only draw back is the opening to the carb is lower than the original but who says a snorkle can't be made to offset it.

That accelerator pump carb will give the 650 super throttle response. When you get that puppy geared up you've got to post a video of it in action!

Nova

I replaced the aluminum slides in my carbs with carbon ones that are 1/10 the weight and the response is dramatic. Carbon slides are the way to go.

Hey Alltoys
Is the cutaway on your carbon slides the same as stock and
did you make any other carb changes besides jetting and tuning? And where did you buy them?

If I use the keihin jets 142 and 145 can I use the needles out of the dyno jet kit instead of using washers. Just wondering because I have use for the dyno jet kit my fathers honda motorcycle has same carbs and he needs the jets but doesn't need the needles and this way I would have adjustable needles. it also has 4 small washer i could use. Thanks for the help first time jetting anything

If you go to buykawasaki.com and punch in all the pertinent information, you can get a complete list of every part of your 650. They have a 145 jet listed there, but I can't remember the number. I'm too lazy today to go look.
