Default Mojave/Lakota: sprockets

I recently put the 13t front sprocket on my Mojave, and yes it did stretch out the gears but in the top gears it killed my low end. I went to the dealer today and they had a 41t rear sprocket that someone ordered wrong so I got it for $30 (I know I could of bought it cheaper in a magazine). I didn't know if anyone had tried this combo (12/41) and how they liked it.

TIRES TIRES TIRES
It all depends on what u are running for tires! I have 20' Razrs and i have tried the 13/43, 12/43, 13/41 and 12/41.I have found the best luck with the 13/43 and 12/41! I like to climb hills and it works really good that way!! I also liek the 41/13 combo! It is a good all aroudn gearing! But it kinda has a little mroe top end then bottom! So U will just have to try and find out i gess!

I just have the stock tires on still. I did decide to go with the 12/41, since the place I ride consist of several hills and woods I don't want to loose the bottom end power.

You need to just divide the numbers to get the ratio and then you can compare what you got.
Stock 12-43 is 3.58
12-41 3.41
13-43 3.30

You can see that the 12-41 combo will put you about right in the middle between stock and the 13-43. You will get some bottom back but not all and you will have a little more top speed than stock. That is if you stay with the same tires.

Last saturday I had put the 12/41 combo on and went riding, and liked it much better. Since I do have the stock tires on and I'm looking for a new pair at the moment. I will probably stay with the 22 height so I will keep my clearance.

I'm trying to determine between the Maxxis RAZR and the ITP Holeshot XCT, if you have any recommendations on these.

Thanks.

I have a set of xct 22x11x10 that has over 95% tread left. I took them off because I started MX racing and went with 18 inch tires. The xct tires are awesome six ply tires and are great for ground clearance. They are great trail riding tires because they are so tuff. I will sell you these if you want them for a lot less than new price and they are almost new.
