Muffler Mod. Report
#1
Got my muffler back from the welder, put it together
went for a ride in the snow.
I drilled 8 1/2 inch holes and cut the end spout out to full diameter.
My Prairie is stock (except for ATR's) and I live at 2700ft
Here is what I noticed
Better throttle response
faster idle
Seems to warm up faster
louder (not too bad tho) nice tone (sounds like a Harley.
The stock muffler seems really restrictive and you can do a better job if
you take the muffler off the quad.
We owe Nyroc a beer party or something for this Mod.

Glad to help out.
I actually was feeling sheepish about the muffler when I did it. I didn't want all the folks with aftermarket mufflers to poke fun at it, so I didn't advertise.
I wasn't even the first to do it. I just took photos and posted them. since then I have gotten a lot of attention and I have been taking the credit.
I like mine. It may not be as powerful as yours. But it is not very loud and still sounds great.

Oops! At least I spelled that right when I made the graphic on the website.
I keep finding misspellings everywhere I turn on that website. I might have to write a spell checker program if my spelling gets bad enough.
However, misspelling the word "Knowledge", especially where many people will see it, is actually Comedic, and not in the least bit Ironic.

Hmmm, I have to disagree. The public misspelling was comedic. The fact that the word was knowledge was ironic. Not at all like when it rains on your wedding day, which is merely unfortunate.
