Default P650 bolt thread specs'

On top of the brake/thottle handlebar assemby, there is a threaded hole covered by a plastic cap. (Looks like it might have been placed there for a rear view mirror) Does anyone know the bolt diameter/thread specs for these holes ?

Brrr! It must be 5 degrees F out there.

The threads are 10mm. I didn't have anything to check the pitch, but I am guessing it is 1.25 or whatever is the most common for 10mm. I have an 8mm bolt with reall short threads and the threads matched, that is why I think it is 1.25.

The hole is about 20mm deep.

It is for a mirror - standard 10mm bolt thread.

I'm going to use those mirror mounts for a windshield.

I froze my chin a little today, right where the air I need to breath goes. I tried using a neck sock, but I felt like i was suffocating.

Getting stuck helped warm me up a lot, since all the yanking an pushing makes me heat up really fast. I didn't really need to use a winch in the snow, it isn't as hard to get unstuck in the snow.

I got stuck twice today. The snow was too deep in spots. My brother is so happy since he got to use his winch to get me out for the first time. I have winched him out so many times I can't count.

hello, Nova Kaw. I just wanted to say alittle something about "standard sizes" if you look in any bolt bine at the auto parts store you will find 3 standard sizes, in 10 mm it starts with 1.50, 1.25, 1.00(very fine thread). I don't want to sound rude but sometimes things are just a little more persice then just saying "standard" most folks don't know about the tread pitch codes and they could easlly be throw a curve.

Sorry, what I meant by "standard" is the most common thread found in 10mm applications, and also the standard 10mm thread found on a motorcycle style rearview mirror. Hope that clears it up for you.

Thanks for all your help. I think I'll go and put on my short sleve shirt and enjoy the balmy 65 F weather here in Las Vegas while I locate a 10 mm bolt.

If anyone still cares, the diamensions are:

10 mm diameter, 1.25 thread pitch, 20 mm length.

I plan on putting together a support across the handlebars to mount a GPS and/ or an additional light.

Anyone done this before?
