Default Mojave Intake Valve Problems

has anyone had problems with their mojaves sucking the intake valves into the head? I have had this happen to my mojave 3 times. Finally this 3rd time the factory warrantied it and gave me a new cylinder head. I hope it holds up this time though.

three times? Were they fixing the same head and throwing it back on the bike?

well the first time they just did a valve job and kept the stock head. but when it went the second and third times we got brand new heads. but i don't think this engine is going to hold together again. Kawasaki says it is just the way i ride.

you should not be able to ride it hard enough to do that, something is wrong causing the problem. You may be lean or your valves may not be getting adjusted right. You also need to make sure your thermostat, thermostatic switch and cooling fan are working right. A good set of stainless valves may help too but the stock valves should be ok, I have ridden and raced with stock valves without problems.

i may just end up doing a mod and getting some oversized valves and maybe change the cam or something. because the engine is not lean, it is jetted perfect. I adjusted the valves correctly after every 2 rides and they close up so tight i cant even get the feeler gauge in there. It is amazing to me, I have worked on engines and built them for a very long time and still cannot figure out why they are getting so tight, they should be getting looser if anything. The jetting is fine, the rev limiter is working fine, thermostat + thermostatic switch and cooling fan are all working fine not sticking and the water temp is fine. I cannot figure out the problem. I just hope maybe the stock head just had a problem and now the new had I got under warranty may solve the problem and not break my ***** again. Let me know if you guys can think of anything that would cause the valves to close up tight and suck into the head again.

thanks
mark

every couple or so rides with my mojave it seems as tho the valves just tighten up , all of them it boggles my mind as well, maybe its the tempeture or what its a hassle to take all the plastic off all the times it happens
