Default Suspension Sag

Does anyone know how much the suspension is supposed to sag on the P650 when you sit on it ? I remember from riding dirt bikes that you had to measure the height on the fender then sit on the bike and measure again to see if the suspension was set correctly for your weight. Does the same apply for the P650 ?

All I have ever read is that 1/3 of the suspension travel should be sag.

I`ve always used the 1/3 of travel sag. For recreational riding with an average sized rider it`s a good starting point.

If your a heavy weight like me(350), you can turn it up. I have the spring on its highest setting, and have 60psi in the dampner. and it rides good.

Thanks for the info guys. I am about 225lbs and when I hit a good jump it always bottoms out on me. I wasnt sure whether to crank up the firmness on the rear shock or have it revalved. I dont want it to have a harsh ride when taking it easy on the trails.
