I am putting my driven clutch back on and it looks like there should be a key on the shaft but I don't remember one. Does anyone know for sure? Is there one or isn't there one....

Not familiar with the Kaw's but it has to be fixed on the shaft somehow. Newer sleds actually spline fit to shaft, if it's a square key, have you looked inside the groove on driven pulley? Sometimes they like to stick to it.

 

There are splines on it and I would think that is it, but I see a key groove on the shaft but no key groove inside the driven pulley so I don't think there is one. Maybe that is just the way it is made. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I noticed the same thing. I thought I lost it then I noticed there was now keyway in the bore. The shaft might be used on some other machine with the key.
