well i just installed my red spring sunday and put my 26"mudlites on yesterday before i did any thing my belt was squeeling at take off well after i put the spring in it didnt make any noise with the stockers on but now with the mudlites on it is starting to squeel again i had to pull out a 02 foreman 450 out tonight it had the 28"outlaws and bottomed out in a mud hole so when i go to pull him out the belt was squeeling pretty bad but i still pulled that bad boy out im going to adjust it asap and was wondering if i took all the shims off would that hurt anything or do i have to put some kind of shims on it i read in nyrocs knowledge base that if it is tight it will still squeel but can you get it too tight any help will be apppreciated

Your 03 Probably has just one a 1.40 spacer if this is the case I would not just remove it (not because you can't run with out it) this is a very big spacer and will make a major change in belt deflection . If the belt is just starting to squeel I bet it would be to much. Before you even pull the cover I would get one of each size spacer from your dealer they are cheep and you are gona need them at one time or another. This will give you the flexiblity you need to adjust the belt right this time and from now on. By the way adjusting the belt is a snap after you do it a time or two. Hope this helps
