P 650....does your radiator fan come on?
#1
Was wondering....I am new to the 650.....I just got through riding hard in the snow and when I pulled back in to the garage the radiator fan was on.....is this common? I would'nt have thought it would come on with the temp outside being this cold....

Yeah mine to. it really comes on alot in the snow. (Harder on the quad driven through snow)
But it's soooooooo much fun Do you still have stock tires?

yep only 3 weeks old ....everything is still stock....i am still amazed at how much power the 650 has.... it is awesome.......when i buy tires i want something that is for all types of riding.....we normally don't get much snow here .....it is few and far between snowfalls....most of my riding will be trail riding and river bed.....maybe a trip to little sahara sometime.....so what tire is best for all around riding...i have'nt had a problem with the 03 tires yet....but i don't usually every get in much mud....

I have a few buddies with other brand 4wheelers whos "fans" do not come on after the key hasbeen turned off but again, they don't have a rear cylinder. It is great to take a riding break, in any type of weather, turn the key off & the fan stays on to continue to cool down, then turns off & will come back on if needed, where my buddies with the other brand 4wheelers, either leave the key turned-on with the fan on or just don't care & turn the key off & let their hot engines sit there & cook.

I get concerned when my fan doesn't come on, I like to hear that fan because I know it's cooling. Do watch the temp light because it only flashes on the LED pannel and doesn't grab your attention like the lights on top.

so it seems that it is normal for the fan to come on....what about summertime riding.....if it comes on now in the cold...does it stay on all the time in the heat of the summer rides?
thanks
