shotgun: no he didn't have the orange spring... I seen it it was a little white box next to the CDI. He was talking about the orange spring, I'm thinking if he does that it will become a mouse trap.

Kawi;

Did he call it an "acceleration module"?

I'm not quite sure what he called it, he really didn't say what it was. It was about 3 inches long and about 2 inches thick by about an inch. I do know it would generate a different frequency and it was also drawing power from the battery.

Nightrider, and anyone else willing to try this.
You need a fuel solenoid between the fuel pump and the carbs and a switch to operate it. After the motor has run for a few minuites to warm up, it won't work untill the motor is warm. Shut the fuel off with the solenoid but the fuel pump will still send information to the cdi that is operational. Punch the gas there is enough fuel in the lines and pressure to sustain momentum to roughly 15 seconds depending how many modds you have done will determine how long you can run without running out of fuel. As the pressure drops the fuel sensor reads the fuel is low and the speed sensore sends information to the cdi that fuel is low and the cdi then increases the timing so the fuel will last longer at least that is the most logical explanation I can come up with. When the float bowl is below centre level with fuel will the timeing increase be at its highest at 22 - 23 degrees advance. This is roughly the timeing advance at 3500 rpm but can be obtained at just above idle with this set up. I came across this little abnormality when I was experimenting with my NOS set up last year playing around with different fuel applications. I have talked with other fellows that have come across this little ditty too but for a few seconds it is wasn't worth takeing it any further. Too costy to promote!!!!!!

Although it does give that extra boost from the start. The best way I can explain it and I found this on older outboard motors especially a 9.5 evenrude motor. Just as the fuel in the float bowl is low you get a surge of power and this happens with most naturally asperated engines.

This is cheap way of obtaining the same boost but you must remember to flip the switch after you hit the 1500 rpm lag time wall to remain moving. Hope this helps let me know how you make out.

red650,

Can the frequency generator be bought through Radio Shack? What might the frequency be?

So, red650, this gives you a lot more takeoff umph? Does it take away the speed limiting retard too?

I don't have my manual here to look at this.

If it really works, all I can say is "you da man" (and you get a free lifetime subscription to Nyroc's Knowledge base).
