First Vforce 700 ride

Wow. I have to admit, just riding it in the driveway did no justice. Took it out tonight to "break it in" and .....wow. At first it just seemed confusing but after a while I was tearing the sh*t out of everything. My buddy was with me on his Cannondale. It's snowy, cold and slick here in Indiana. Any drag race we did had me eating him up on the start. This thing is really the holeshot god. I'm not saying I tore it up, given the conditions, but he was always playing catchup. And before you Dale owners start screaming foul.......I own C'Dale #8 (bought brand new, sight unseen). Literally no one has owned a CDale longer than I have. The only one who has, owns #4, the guy I raced. I can't wait for better conditions, it makes me wonder how this thing is going to act when I can get traction. Later, we jumped the same jumps we always have and this thing launched and landed beautifully. Perfect attitude in the air, awesome landings with no bottoming like I would have thought for a big bike. Now don't get me wrong, this thing is BIG. But I'm a big guy (6'1" 235) and I feel right at home. I can't describe the feeling to nail this thing, it doesn't feel like you're going fast at all but your are COOKING. I'll keep you posted on future speed trials. I want to break it in a little before I grab the GPS and head down the road for a top speed test. There's also a Raptor in our group that's going to get a reality check. Later Fellas.

LOL...........Define Reality?? Is it the feeling that you get when you spend $6K and you still lose to me?? ha ha
Hush up now children, I work with this Yahoo!! He and I are very competitive. He realized that his Cannondale was tapped out so he is trying a freash horse.
So, there will at least be a race happening over my way to see which bike is faster. Open up the airbox, add a free flowing pipe and rejet the carbs and it may be a real factor on the drag strip. I am a big fan of V-Twin engines and I loved the sound of the idle. When you rev the engine while it's sitting, it was extreemely smooth.
WIN or lose, it will be fun racing him. He always seemed to have trouble with that whole "shifting" thing anyway. So this will be good for him.

I think you folks will need to add pipes your raptor to keep up with the stock 700, but we'll see! Let us know how your race goes(off road of course, never would suggest illegal drag racing on pavement,LOL).....

I think the CDale has more to give but guess what? The V-Force hasn't even begun and it's a bullet. Keep it up and I'll have dual pipes before you can say a$$kickin'.

ShaneB. If I understand your question right, it never did. We ran out of dragstrip before we could see any top end results. I guess the thing was that he never really caught up but I didn't really lose him either. It was snowy, wet grass about 125 meters long. Even letting him have a slight head start, I passed him early, but at the end you could tell he was still in the hunt. I'm waiting for a better day where we can both hook up.
