Break in Question. Please help.
#1
I am going to get a new P-650 within the next week or so and am a bit concerned about the break in. I live in Upstate NY and need the atv to plow, and the amount of snow we have is going to make it dificult (if not imposible) to realy get out and run it. Is this going to harm the the break in? Will the rings seat properly? Etc. Etc.
I would realy be greatfull for any input.
Thanks
oh yea sorry about spelling errors I have been up all night.

You need to be giving it gas to break it in (half throttle max). go ahead and plow.
Don't idle too much. Don't run too low of RPM.
Rings wont seat unless they are under pressure (throttle).
Some engines aren't as sensitive as others and you can just go ride them. Nobody has reported a problem with just riding a 650 the way you normally would. Kawi said what they did for some reason.
Some engines have to be held at full throttle (mid rpm range) in order to break in well.
