Weekend V-force, C-Dale, Raptor
#1
The Heavily modified Raptor was the fastest. 686, cam, header, drag race gearing, extended swingarm, list goes on, and, on, versus a C-Dale with an HMF exhaust, and a stock V-force. In a 100 meter drag, the Raptor beat the the C-dale and the V-force consistantly by no more than a length and a half. I think the C-Dale was closer to winning, but the V-force was more consistant. I rode the Raptor a few times and was impressed. But over all it only beat the pack by a length and a half. The rest of the day had the C-dale and V-force easily outjumping and out riding the Raptor in any other situation.

Wait until conditions improve (aka - soggy field), when I'm not spinning through 3rd gear I will get you by more than that. There was a couple of races that was more than a bike and a half.
All and all, it was a good time. I didn't even have to get out my secret weopen. The V-Force did pretty good. I didn't have any trouble with it wheelieing, and it didn't seem like you were going that fast when you were on it. It was just really different.
In all honesty, I would hope that a 700cc V-TWIN running 9.9:1 compression would make a respectable showing if not beat a little 686cc machine running in the mid to high 10's with one less cylinder. It will interesting to see how it runs with a new pipe.
And when I say that "I will continue to beat STecate925 like a Red-Headded step child", it is indeed true that he has red hair.

sounds like you got alot of money in mods wrapped up in the raptor. only to beat a first year quad
by a length and a half? i`d be asking for my money back. whats up with the excuse about the terrain? excuses are like a$$holes and chevys... everyone has one...

You're right Scootdog. I thought he'd be leaving me in the dust with all those mods. For a stock bike, it held it's own. A few mods here and there, look out!

Like I was saying before, all things considered, I am not ashamed at all at the outcome.
Tale of the tape:
My Raptor VS V-Force
686cc VS 700cc
10.8-1 Compression VS 9.9-1 Compression
Single cylinder VS Twin Cylinder
Fuel: Pump gas in both machines
Conditions: soggy field (not a factor because it was even for both riders)
I am not surprised that the V-Force had a strong run. It really should have.

It sounds like you have the same kit in you Raptor that my Bro did. Unless your running hotter cams than he had. His was the mild deal. Is yours ported? He could beat my piped pro flo'd Raptor by about the same distance. Looks good for the 700 if the power increase from big bore kits and pipes is similar to what is acheived by a Raptor. Only time will tell. There both great bikes i must say. I cant wait for the aftermarket stuff to become available so i can get some goodies. I hate the sound of a stock exhaust. LOL
