Default About to rejet

I have just installed the snorkel and a twin air filter. About to do a nyroc exhaust modification and will do 6 3/8" holes. Now I can tell I already need to do rejetting after the intake mods because I'm pretty lean right now. I was going to order the 145 jet and move the 142 jet to the front. Also bought some #4 brass washers. I'm at an altitude of 0-500 feet and in a humid climate. Since the jets aren't that expensive, should I go ahead and purchase a 148 jet in case I need it? I found the jets on www.buykawasaki.com and thinking about ordering both jets so I'll have what I need. There seems to be no one else on here that has their's set up for my area and hoping I could get it right.

Rebel, you are right on the money with your thoughts. I run # 142f # 145r. But have #148 in case.0-1000 ft asl. ( make sure you have a new quality screwdriver)

I bought the 148 also, and put a couple 1" uni vents in the air box. Mine pulls strong all the way up.

trx,
most jet sizes go 1 size smaller for each 2000' in altitude more or less, or each 30 degree CHANGE in temp..if you jet it at 80 degres, and it is 50 degres, thah is a CHANGE of 30 degrees..142/145 would be where I'd start..you can always go up a size, or down one if needed..
shimming the needles only affects the midrange-transition..

I just finished doing my muffler mod.....well, except for welding the cap back on. I have to find someone tomorrow to do that. The dealer only had a 145, so I'll go with that and hope that will be enough. I can't wait to see how it runs when I get this all done.

At first, I said I didn't need to do any mods, that it was powerful enough. Then I decided I would do the black spring.....next thing you know, I'm adding a snorkel and a twin air filter. Since it now needs rejetting, I'm thinking why don't I go ahead and do a muffler mod. Well, after thinking about it, when that refund check comes in, I'm getting that CDI. I have to admit, modding is sort of fun and I haven't rode it yet with all the mods.
